Becoming a Werewolf
The elder scrolls games have always allowed players a variety of choices. However it the newest release Skyrim offers a new option not yet seen in earlier versions. Thanks to a quest involving the companions fraction you can now become a werewolf.Yes fellow gamers you can now fulfill your fantasy of howling at the moon and tearing your enemies apart with your own claws and fangs. Well at least in game.
There are some great perks. You no longer have to worry about illnesses. There is also a boost to strength, stamina and health and of course you can turn into a giant wolf man ( or woman). Guards will also make some rather funny comments about fur growing out of your ears.
For the more sadistic among us, your werewolf character can restore health by eating the bodies of fallen foes.
The new expansion Dawnguard offers a perk tree with a variety of different werewolf skills you can level.
Sadly like all things there are some drawbacks as well. Sleeping no longer gives perks and weapons and armor points and skills are no longer counted. Turning into a wolf in town is also a quick way to get attacked and will result in a 1000 gold bounty if your seen.
You can find and join the companions in whiterun where you will eventually get the quest to become a werewolf.
